The Schola Linguarum Biblicarum (“School of Biblical Languages”) is a school with the primary purpose of training young men in the biblical languages to prepare them for theological studies. All courses are taught online using Zoom.
The school offers a complete six year curriculum of courses in Latin and neo-Latin, Greek (all major dialects), Classical Hebrew and Early Rabbinic Hebrew. In addition courses are occasionally offered in other languages, such as seventeenth century Dutch.
Although the primary target is young men from the Free Reformed Churches of Australia (FRCA), the courses on offer are open to all at no cost. Students from the FRCA or sister churches are given priority in filling class quotas. Acceptance of non-FRCA students is at the disgression of the rector and oversight committee. Class times are flexible and generally take account of the various time-zones and schedules of students.
Enrolment for the year closes at the end of January. To enrol send an email to the rector (or use the contact form on this website) with your details and you will contacted for an online interview.
